I'm Cátia M. Castro, licensed clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, and PhD Candidate at ISPA - Instituto Universitário / APPsyCI Applied Psychology Research Center Capabilities & Inclusion, based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Play Healthy Gaming is the name of this PhD research, supervised by Professor David Neto, PhD (ISPA / APPsyCI) and co-supervised by Professor João Marôco, PhD (ISPA / WJC). This research aims to study video game players' psychological and interpersonal factors.

 

I love video games, science, and psychology, so I hope this fantastic combination can improve gamers' mental health with evident based scientific knowledge.

We aim to do science from an inclusive epistemic diversity view. This means that research questions, literature review, commitment, and integrity, are made with open inquiry, curiosity and inclusion awareness. We seek to develop research with a constant effort to understand different approaches and forms of diversity.
